Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Jersey City, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New Jersey run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amโ7:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (551) 655-6934. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 131 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded filipino restaurants in Jersey City.
Jersey City is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Jersey City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Love the atmosphere and the service. We had kikiam, bulalo, lechon kawali, kinilaw, and dinuguan for dine in and everything was exceptional. We loved it sm that we ended up ordering more for takeout. Coming from FL, 11/10 ๐ฎโ๐จ๐ค

One of the best Filipino restaurants in Jersey City! ๐ต๐ญ Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious and tasted just like home. You can really taste the authentic Filipino flavors in every bite, and everything was cooked so well. The service was excellent and very fast, especially Toni, our server! She was super nice, attentive, and made our experience even better. The place itself is also very nice and welcoming. Thereโs street parking, but itโs not hard to find a spot around the area. Definitely a must-try if youโre craving Filipino food that tastes like home!

Just updating my review. The restaurant ended up giving me 2 pieces of chicken inasal when I complained about the portion size of the platter and the price. It was a nice gesture but not necessary to give me 2 pieces. Iโve been ordering at this place when it was still Jayhanโs Grill. And most of the time, itโs consistent, but there are times that there are not. Theyโre quite good and have a solid following. But this timeโฆ I was disappointed. I ordered the inihaw platter for $75, but I donโt eat tilapia and wanted to substitute it for chicken breast BBQ. The tilapia ala carte is $14.95, and the chicken is $12.95. What I got was a half chicken thigh, and itโs $10.95. What an absolute rip-off. The pork BBQ had an off taste and was very dry. I ended up throwing out the other 2 sticks. Itโs a complete waste of money. Previously I ordered a tray of kare-kare and it was sooo thick with too much peanut butter, I ended tossing out the other half. I see mixed reviews and disappointed customers, and I think itโs warranted. I get the hype of this restaurant, but they need to be consistent because this place is not cheap.

We had the privilege of dining in on their opening day, and let me tell youโthe hype from the original Jayhan Grill in Westside is real. The Sinuglaw was a masterclass in balance, and both the Chicken Mami and Dinakdakan were 10/10. Every single bite was unforgettable; from the first taste to the last, the flavors did NOT disappoint. If youโre looking for authentic Filipino soul food and an incredible atmosphere, this spot is a non-negotiable must-visit!
